HELLO AGAIN!

2014/2015

 A year passed by, but here we are again to share the main moments of our English classes. We hope you visit us often and that you enjoy the activities performed by English primary students!

Depois de um ano de ausência, aqui estamos novamente para partilhar os principais momentos das aulas de Inglês.
Esperamos que nos visitem muitas vezes e que gostem das atividades realizadas!

     

House

This year we talked about the house. Third and fourth graders revised or learned to talk about the exterior, the rooms of the house and to locate people, objects and furniture in the house. To practice vocabulary, we made a class poster… we draw, coloured, cut and pasted and legended a house. Here’s the final result…

Este ano falamos sobre a casa. Os 3º e 4º anos reviram ou aprenderam a falar sobre o exterior, as divisões da casa e a localizar pessoas, objetos e mobiliário na casa. Para praticar o vocabulário aprendido, construímos um cartaz de sala de aula… desenhamos, colorimos, cortamos e colamos e legendamos a casa. Aqui está o resultado final…

Class T4 also made some beautiful houses with the parents’ help… Here are some of their works. Thank you all for the great job and collaboration.

We also played some games. Students loved, for example, to play “Charades: “Where’s John/dad? He’s in the bedroom.”. And we listened, roleplayed and illustrated the song “Where’s grandad?”.

Também jogamos a alguns jogos. Os alunos gostaram em particular de jogar o jogo “Charades”: Onde está o John/pai? Ele está no quarto.”. E ouvimos, dramatizamos e ilustramos a canção “Where’s grandad?”.

 

Then, as a final project, third year students had to draw and legend their house. Then, they  presented their work to the class. Here are some of their works…

De seguida, como projeto final, os alunos do 3º ano desenharam e legendaram a sua casa. Depois, apresentaram os seu trabalho à turma. Aqui ficam algumas das suas apresentações…

Fourth year students had to draw and describe their bedroom or their dream bedroom. Then, as usual, they presented their work to the class. Here are some of them.

Jobs

This year fourth graders learned to talk about jobs. To practice vocabulary, we played some games. Students loved, for example, to play “Charades: “Who’s John? He’s a teacher. We also listened to the song “The People Song”.Student’s loved it!

Este ano, os alunos do 4º ano aprenderam a falar sobre as profissões. Para praticarem o vocabulário, jogamos a alguns jogos. Os alunos gostaram em particular de jogar o jogo “Charades”: “Quem é o John? Ele é um professor.”. E também aprendemos a canção “The people Song!”.

 

 

Then we talked about the future and about what each students wants to be. We listened to and sang the song “What do you want to be in the future? I want to be a/an…” It was fun, wasn’t it?

De seguida falamos sobre o future e sobre o que cada aluno quer ser quando crescer. Ouvimos e cantamos a canção “What do you want to be in the future? I want to be a/an…”. Foi muito divertido, não foi?

 

 

Then, as a final project, students illustrated what they want to be in the future, and they presented their work to the class. Here are some of their works…

Big Big World

In collaboration with the music teacher, the 3^rd year students learned the song “Big Big World” by Emília. Then we illustrated the song, dramatized it and performed it for the music teacher Luísa Oliveira as a farewell. No need to say that the teacher Luísa was very happy with the surprise we prepared for her.

Em colaboração com a professora de música, os alunos de 3º ano aprenderam a canção “Big Big World” da Emília. De seguida ilustraram a canção, dramatizaram-na e apresentaram-na à professora Luísa Oliveira de música como despedida. Não é necessário dizer que a professora Luísa ficou muito feliz com a surpresa que lhe preparamos.

Mother's Day

Today is Mother’s Day in Portugal. On this day we celebrate mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. We honor those who have the strongest influence on us; they love, care and educate us always with a smile.

Hoje é o Dia da Mãe em Portugal. Neste dia celebramos a maternidade, os laços maternais e a influência das mães na sociedade. Homenageamos aquelas que mais nos influenciam, que nos amam, cuidam de nós e educam, mas sempre com um enorme sorriso.

We started by singing the Mother’s Day song. Here it is.

Começamos por cantar a canção do Dia da Mãe. Aqui está ela interpretada por alguns alunos.

 

 

Then, we illustrated the song and made a present for mum: a beautiful flower or a fancy bag with a small message for mum. Hope you like it!

De seguida, ilustramos a canção e construímos um presente para a mãe: uma linda flor ou uma mala com uma mensagem para a mãe. Espero que gostem!

Spring

Wake up sun! It's Spring! 
Acorda sol! Já chegou a primavera!
 

 

Spring arrived and to welcome it we started by learning and roleplaying a song: I want to hear you! Do you still remember it? Let's sing it one more time!

A primavera chegou e para lhe darmos as boas-vindas, começamos por aprender e dramatizar uma canção. Ainda se lembram? Vamos lá cantá-la uma vez mais!

Then we illustrated the song. And we discovered some artists… See for yourselves!

De seguida, os alunos ilustraram a canção. E que artistas alguns alunos se revelaram… vejam por vocês! 

 

By describing the changes in nature that take place by this time, we introduced the new season: spring. Then, we illustrated the vocabulary worked in classes and made some flowers for the spring display. And we end up with some pretty good works!

E foi assim, descrevendo as alterações que ocorrem na natureza nesta altura, que introduzimos a nova estação do ano: a primavera. De seguida, ilustramos o vocabulário trabalhado nas aulas e construíram-se flores para o nosso cartaz de primavera. E que bonitos ficaram alguns dos trabalhos!
